Carnival & Silent Auction - Friday, March 23rd - 5:00-8:00 pm

The PTA is excited to sponsor our Carnival & Silent Auction event on Friday, March 23rd! This is an exciting event for our families and a way to raise money for the programs supporting our students and school community!

There will be carnival games, raffles, a photo booth, face painting, hair chalking, mascot pictures, spirit wear for sale, dancing with DJ Joseph, plus more! Carnival games include Plinko, Bottle Up, Bean Bag Toss, Toilet Paper Toss, Pool Noodle Battle, Penny Drop, Hockey Shoot Out, and many more. All carnival games can be played by purchasing a wristband. School-aged children must have a wristband to play. (Younger than Kindergarten is free.)

The silent auction will feature themed class baskets, teacher & staff donations, camps, parties, family fun, and one of a kind items. There are lots of new items this year, including an opportunity to paint ceiling tiles for the breezeway at school, and learn how to ride a dirt bike with our own Mr. Simpson! Tried and true favorite class baskets will be available as well, and for the second year we are happy to offer a great item for 5th grade parents - "4-6 Front Row Reserved Seats for 5th grade promotion, plus Dr. Muttillo's (high school principal) reserved parking space at the high school".

We are also thrilled to be partnering with several orthodontists who have generously donated various discounts off of orthodontic work! If you anticipate this need for your child(ren), check out these wonderful local orthodontists and consider bidding on a great item which will save you a ton of money. You may contact them directly for a free consultation:

Pre-order forms will be sent home on Friday, March 9th, and are due back to school no later than Friday, March 16th. Complete the form and send in cash or checks made out to LES PTA, and a packet will be ready for you at Will Call the night of the event - with wristbands, 50/50 raffle tickets, a program, and a bid number. Please note that pre-orders include a discounted price of $8 for wristbands ($10 at the door).

You can also pre-order online here.

Schedule of Events

Doors will open at 5:00 pm for carnival games and food trucks, with auction items up for bid beginning at 5:30. The carnival games will close between 7:00 and 7:30, and children can continue to dance with DJ Joseph, while parents enjoy the last hour of the auction to bid on and win their items of choice. Auction sections will begin to close around 7:10, and continue to close every 10 minutes through 7:50 pm.

Food Trucks

There will be 4 food trucks on site from 5:00 to 7:30 pm:

There will be 2 raffles - 50/50, and Principal for a Day. 50/50 raffle tickets will be available on the pre-order form, and at the check-in table the night of the event. Principal for a Day raffle tickets will be sold at the check-in table the night of the event, as well as at arrival time at school on Wednesday, 3/21 and Thursday, 3/22 (in the school lobby), for any students not able to come to the event. The winner of the 50/50 raffle will be announced the night of the event, and the winner of the Principal for a Day raffle will be announced the following Monday morning at school.

The cost for raffle tickets are 1 for $2, or 3 for $5.

2017 Building A Stronger Pride Giving Campaign

We were able to raise approximately $49,100, just shy of our $50,000 goal for the Giving Campaign! Thank you to all the families, faculty and staff, and community partners that generously gave this year. We appreciate your support!

We will be able to support so many PTA programs with these funds, as well as begin work on the outdoor space very soon - including a new track, new equipment, and other enhancements to the playground and outdoor learning space. The design plan is here. NOTE: Final actual design may differ slightly based on WCPSS, county, and state regulations.

We ALWAYS welcome business sponsors, any time throughout the year. If you own or manage a local business, see our Corporate Sponsorship Program.
