2017 Building A Stronger Pride Giving Campaign

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Leesville Elementary School! Earlier this year, the school and PTA began conversations about how we can celebrate this milestone, and where we can focus our time, talent and funds. We jointly determined one of our goals is to build and maintain a sustainable outdoor learning environment to enhance and improve the health and well-being of our children. We then began discussing ideas for the outdoor space with the school community, and met with a local landscape architecture firm to design an overall master plan. We are excited to share that plan with our LES families!

The entire plan will take 2-3 years to fully implement. The timeline and progress made will be determined by funds raised each year. Click here to see the plan. NOTE: Final actual design may differ slightly based on WCPSS, county, and state regulations. The focus of the 2017 Giving Campaign will be to partially fund this plan, as well as supporting all of the other programs and activities of the PTA.

The Giving Campaign will run from Monday, October 16th through Monday, October 30th. Our overall goal is to raise $50,000 - including funds from LES families (goal of $30,000), as well as local businesses through a Corporate Sponsorship Program (goal of $20,000). We know this is achievable for our school!

We are asking each family to consider making a minimum $35 donation for each child attending LES. There are both school-wide incentives for all students as we reach various total giving levels, and also family giving levels and incentives - including special spirit items only available through this giving campaign (pictures coming soon!).

Packets were sent home with all students on 10/16. Please read through the FAQ sheet and consider making a donation - and you may also ask family and friends to contribute to your total family giving to be eligible for the family giving incentives.

Donations can be made by cash or check (sent back in your child's blue envelope) or by credit card online here (transactions fees will apply). Please remind all supporters that donations are 100% tax deductible! The LES PTA tax ID is 56-1787326. Please check with your employers to verify if they participate in Company matching. Company matching will be included in your total family giving.

Please return pledge cards with all payments by Monday, October 30th. If you own or manage a local business, see our Corporate Sponsorship Program.

Thanks in advance for supporting the LES PTA and our school community!
